1)  India Can Achieve Over 10% Economic Growth

2) India’s Capital Markets Set for 16% Annual Growth Through FY30
  • India’s capital markets revenue is expected to grow 16% annually till FY30 as more households shift their savings from cash and bank deposits towards shares, mutual funds and other financial products.

1) Rural Auto Demand Remains Strong Despite Weak August Rains

  • Rural vehicle demand stayed strong in August, with rural passenger vehicle sales growing 24.9% year-on-year, much faster than the 10.9% growth in urban markets.
  • Rural commercial vehicle and three-wheeler sales also grew strongly, although weak rainfall affected tractor sales; overall two-wheeler production rose 15.2%.

C) Pharma:

1) Sanofi Healthcare Buys 15.2% Stake in Sanofi India for ₹1,068 Crore

  • Sanofi Healthcare India, a promoter group company, bought 35 lakh shares of Sanofi India, giving it a 15.19% stake for about ₹1,068 crore.
  • The shares were purchased at ₹3,052 each, while another promoter, Hoechst GmbH, sold the same number of shares at the same price.

2) Sun Pharma Signs Global Licensing Deal for Cholesterol Drug Lerodalcibep
  • Sun Pharma has signed an exclusive agreement with US-based LIB Therapeutics to manufacture, sell and license the cholesterol drug Lerodalcibep in markets outside the US and China.
  • The once-monthly drug helps lower “bad” LDL cholesterol and will strengthen Sun Pharma’s cardiovascular medicines portfolio, with the company gaining access to a growing global market.

1) Triple Shock Hits India’s FMCG Market as 68% of Categories Lose Volume

  • FMCG consumption slowed in April-June, with overall volumes falling 2% and 68% of product categories recording a decline. Rural volumes fell 5%, while urban demand was almost flat.

1) Centre Assures Support to Farmers Facing Drought and Floods

  • The Centre has assured support to farmers affected by drought and floods, with Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan saying the government is coordinating with states to manage the situation.
  • District-level plans, seed banks and farming advisories have been prepared to help farmers choose crops that need less water or can be grown faster when rainfall is low, while alternative arrangements are being made if crops fail.

1) India to Set Up First Port-Based E-Methanol Facility at Kandla

  • India will build its first port-based e-methanol plant at Kandla, Gujarat, with an investment of ₹2,300 crore to produce cleaner fuel for ships using renewable power, water and biogenic CO₂.
  • The 150-tonne-per-day plant will supply green fuel to ships on the Asia-Europe trade route and is expected to create more than 3,500 direct and indirect jobs.

3) India’s Contracting Market Sees ₹5,467 Crore of Confirmed Orders
  • India recorded 27 confirmed contracts worth around ₹5,467 crore between September 20 and 27, with defence, EPC, construction, energy storage and power infrastructure driving major orders.

  • Rising electronics demand, global supply-chain shifts and supportive government policies are driving India’s semiconductor growth. These factors are helping India strengthen its position in the global semiconductor industry.
